Internship Program.

Traverse City Dance Project is currently looking for remote administrative interns from March 3rd to August 29th, 2025, and on-site production interns from July 15th to August 15th, 2025, to assist with the summer tour and the first Northern Michigan Dance Festival.

The Traverse City Dance Project Internship Program offers college students a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the vibrant world of professional dance and gain hands-on experience in both administrative or production roles. Whether you’re passionate about arts administration or production, our program provides valuable insights and practical skills to kickstart your career in the performing arts.

Our remote Administrative Internship provides hands-on experience in marketing, program development, fundraising, operational management, and event planning. Meanwhile, our Production Internship offers a behind-the-scenes look at stage production, perfect for those interested in the technical side of theater.

Under the guidance of experienced professionals, interns will collaborate remotely and/or on-site, showcasing their organizational skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. While the positions are unpaid, interns will gain invaluable insight into their respective fields and receive perks such as recommendation letters, collaboration to get college credits with university, and the opportunity to take company class if the intern is an aspiring dancer.
